The house

Lovely semi-detached house renovated in 2016. It has two floors, with a central wooden staircase: on the ground floor there is an open floor plan which includes a living area, kitchen and dining area, off of this is a bathroom with a washing machine and large shower.  Upstairs, there is both second bathroom with a large shower and two bedrooms, one with double bed and single bed and a the other with two single beds. The outside patio is equipped for dining stands next to an open green space is available for the guests to sun-bathe, play games, etc. The only area shared with the residents and owners of the attached house is the driveway and parking space.

The house is situated 600 meters to the beaches of Pettenasco to the west, and 300 meters from the beginning of the paths of Mottarone and Vergante to the east. The location is absolutely quiet, ideal for a relaxing vacation but at the same time full of possibilities for activities in the surrounding area. For pictures of the house click here.

The surroundings

Pettenasco is located in the center of the eastern shore of Lake Orta, 7 km from Omegna and 3 km from Orta. In addition to being famous for its many beaches (among which is a sandy one, ideal for children) and its charming lakeside promenade, it is at the center of a vast network of forest trails perfect for easy walking or challenging mountain biking.

From a cultural and historical point of view, the town offers various possibilities: the Sacred Mount of Orta, the Tower of Buccione and the monastery of Mount Mesma are within walking distance. The city of  Orta, with the island of San Giulio is definitely the gem of the lake, which can also be reached by boat from the pier of Pettenasco. Excursions

Those who love hiking can climb to Mount Barro (639 meters) and up to Mottarone (1,492 meters) through various paths, as well as  at the top of the watershed with Lake Maggiore, to enjoy  the view that extends  from Monte Rosa to the peaks of Valtellina.

On the opposite shore of the lake, a long bike path from the shore of Gozzano to Ronco offers wonderful views and photo opportunities, and there are several hiking opportunities up to the watershed with Valsesia.

For those who love hiking in the mountains there are many possibilities: the Strona Valley with its peaks up to 2,400 meters is only 15 km away, while the Ossola valleys, the Formazza and Devero parks, the Vigezzo Valley and the Simplon Pass can be reached in 90 minutes at most: here you will also find peaks over 3,000 meters, glaciers, climbing walls and pristine landscapes.
